Details
The E33G KITAS is a residence permit for people who work remotely for a company outside Indonesia. It allows you to live in Indonesia for one year and can be renewed.
It is designed for digital nomads, freelancers, and employees of foreign companies who do not conduct business or earn income in Indonesia. You may enter and leave the country as often as needed while the permit is valid.
E33G holders can sponsor Family KITAS permits for a spouse, children, and parents.
The permit also allows you to apply from Indonesia for visas to other countries, including Schengen visas and visas for Japan and the United States, and to open an account with any Indonesian bank.
If you are already in Indonesia, you can convert to an E33G KITAS from any visa type without leaving the country.
Important: this permit does not authorize employment or income in Indonesia. Your work must remain remote and be performed for a foreign company.
