Details
A Family KITAS is a renewable residence permit for family members, issued for either one or two years.
It is available to the spouse and children of an Indonesian citizen, as well as the spouse, children, and parents of a Work KITAS, Investor KITAS, or E33G KITAS holder. The family member's status is tied to the primary permit holder, who acts as sponsor.
A Family KITAS allows the holder to live in Indonesia, enter and leave the country without limit while the permit is valid, use healthcare and insurance at local rates, open an Indonesian bank account, and apply from Indonesia for Schengen visas and visas for Japan and the United States.
Important: a Family KITAS is strictly a residence permit. It does not authorize employment, income, or operating a business in Indonesia.
