Details
The Retirement KITAS is a temporary residence permit for foreign nationals age 55 and older who plan to live in Indonesia without working.
It is issued for one year and can be renewed annually for up to five years. After that period, the holder may apply for permanent residence.
The permit allows unlimited entry and exit while valid, access to healthcare and insurance at local rates, and the ability to open accounts with Indonesian banks. It also allows you to apply from Indonesia for Schengen visas and visas for Japan.
Important: the Retirement KITAS does not authorize employment or business income in Indonesia.
If the applicant's spouse is under 55, the spouse can apply for a Family KITAS. The same option is available to the applicant's children under age 18.
